Inspired by the BBC series Frozen Planet, science students wrote a letter to David Attenborough to inform him of the results of switch-off week, an energy conservation week.
In geography, students wrote about weather issues and, in languages, students wrote to a school in France, inspired by their teacher Matthieu Perez’s experiences, as he previously worked in a school in the country.
In maths, students wrote letters to an absent student who was in hospital for an operation, helping her to catch up with work missed.
Students who showed themselves to be particularly good writers included Toby Kidd, Jack Penfold-Burt, Charles Dillon, Ellie French, Aimeri Ismail, Caitlin Johnstone, Nicole Kyte and Megan Turnridge.
