All Saints' Church in West Lavington was full for the funeral today of international star of stage, screen and television George Baker.
People from the village where Mr Baker founded a youth club as well as those from his other charitable activities filled the pews.
Christopher Ravenscroft, who played his sidekick Detective Inspector Burden in the Wexford TV series, was among the congregation while Neil Zeiger, who directed all the episodes, gave a warm and emotional tribute in church.
Other well-known faces in the congregation included actress Stephanie Cole, actor Simon Shepherd and TV presenter Henry Kelly.
Mr Baker's daughters Sarah Pearson, Tessa Nelson and Ellie Baker all paid tribute or gave readings while his eldest daughter, Candy, who now lives in Australia, sent her tribute, which was read by her sister Charlie.
Following the service, Mr Baker was interred in the churchyard in a ceremony attended by family members only.
