WILTSHIRE TIMES and Chippenham News deputy editor Keith Gale has been appointed acting editor following the departure of editor Toby Granville at the end of last week.
Granville has moved to the Oxford Mail as assistant editor.
Gale has taken temporary charge until the appointment of a new editor.
He originally became deputy editor of the Wiltshire Times in 1990, and following a three year spell in Bath in the mid-90s he returned as deputy editor in 1996. He worked on newspapers in Bedfordshire, London and East Sussex before moving to Wiltshire.
It is his third spell in temporary charge.
