Former business manager Lee Morris, 36, of Chippenham has completed his basic training as a sailor.
Trainee Submariner Logistician Lee Morris completed nine weeks of intensive training at HMS Raleigh in Cornwall after joining the Royal Navy in November. He previously worked as a brand manager for a motorcycle company.
He said: “I fancied a change from the normal career prospects, so joined the Royal Navy. “I was also looking for job security. “Basic training was excellent and I’m now looking forward to what the future holds for me and my partner, Lucy.”
He will now transfer to the Royal Navy Submarine School, which is also based at HMS Raleigh, to learn how to operate beneath the waves.
The Royal Navy’s basic training course includes a series of mental and physical challenges to promote team working.
It culminates in a passing-out-parade attended by families and friends.
