A motorcyclist is recovering in hospital after suffering ‘life changing’ injuries following a crash on the B3109 near Bradford on Avon yesterday.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene of the crash in Bradford Leigh, near the Plough Inn, after a Honda Shadow Vulcan trike and a black Ford Focus car collided at about 11.30am.
The rider of the trike, a man believed to be from Chippenham, was air-lifted by Wiltshire Air Ambulance to the Royal United Hospital, Bath, with serious leg injuries. Police have said his injuries are ‘life-changing, but not life-threatening’.
The road between Bradford on Avon and Box Fiveways junction was closed for four hours while investigations were carried out and the area was cleared of debris.
