Landlord slashes office rents in Malmesbury

A property company has slashed the rent of office space to 99p a square foot due to the recession.

The Minton Group, which owns Cedar House Offices in Swindon Road on the edge of Malmesbury, has 13,076 sq ft of office space on the market, of which 3,014 sq ft has recently been let.

Agent James Preece of Colliers CRE said with rents typically around £13 per sq ft in this location it is a bargain.

He said: “The landlord is taking into account the current market conditions and being pro-active in its approach.

“A company could move in, pay a minimal rent and keep their costs for the next year.”
