A charity touch rugby competition is being held in Chippenham at the weekend to raise cash for the Help For Heroes campaign.
In conjunction with the Royal British Legion, Chippenham RFC is hosting a touch rugby tournament on Sunday.
Local branches of the armed forces will be in attendance and there will be stalls, a barbecue and activities for children running throughout the day.
Organiser Frances North said: “With Wiltshire being a major military hub and many local businesses benefitting from receiving income from service people and their families, we are hoping to generate as much interest as possible. “Whilst the touch rugby games are taking place, we have a number of other activities for younger, non-rugby fans such as bouncy castles, a children's craft and face painting area, outdoor skittles and, for the slightly older ones, activities such as laser clay pigeon shooting and hopefully a climbing wall.
“There will obviously be a variety of rugby-based activities for everyone to join in with, but there will be something for everyone.”
The tournament will comprise three entry levels - minis (8-10 years), juniors (11-16 years) and adults.
Entry is free but it will cost £1 to park at the rugby ground. The rugby will kick off around lunchtime.
If you wish to enter a team into the competition, entry details are available from tournament co-ordinator, Will Wilkinson, at helpforheroes.crfc@btconnect.com.
