Devizes town councillors have called for new changing rooms to be provided at its football pitches in Green Lane after hearing that the current building is in an unsafe condition.
The building has been subjected to numerous acts of vandalism over the past six months.
Windows have been broken, interior walls and ceilings damaged.
At a meeting of the town council’s recreation and properties committee on June 23 town councillors were told there was no money in the budget to replace the building.
But town councillors thought the town council should provide new changing facilities for football teams using the pitches.
Councillor Chris Callow said: “I have had people saying to me it’s a disgrace that they don’t have anywhere to change.”
Councillor Charles Winchcombe added: “The building is an absolute disgrace, it should be pulled down immediately.”
The committee agreed for the building to be demolished and have told officers to come back with costs for temporary buildings and security fencing.
