Neighbours living close to a drugs den in Chippenham have spoken of their shock.
On Thursday a swat team of nine police officers raided the house in Westcroft after a two-month intelligence gathering operation.
Once inside the officers found the two occupants, a 51-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, had set up a cannabis factory with more than 30 mature plants inside.
One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I am in utter shock - I cannot believe this was all going on just a few doors down from me."
The couple were both arrested for drugs offences and criminal damages because they partially destroyed their housing association home to build the drugs factory in the attic.
