THOUSANDS turned out for the Crimestoppers family fun day at Bowood today to see a star studden line up that included Jason Donovan, Same Difference and Blazin' Squad.
The annual event, sponsored by the Gazette and Herald, was a massive success. Former Neighbours star Jason Donovan got the huge crowd involved as they joined in singing along with his hits.
One family from Chippenham decided to brave the poor weather to turn up to the event for the fifth year in a row.
Jo Evans, 41, of Frogwell said: "We weren't sure whether we were coming because the weather was touch and go but we just thought we can't back out now. So we came and it has been great. The line up is good and we really enjoyed Same Difference."
Her son Nathan, seven added: "I really like Same Difference. They have been one of my favourites on stage."
The music kicked off with the Disco Legends at 11.30am singing Carwash and Jackson 5's Blame it on the Boogie followed by performances from the Electric Dolls, Kavana, Blazin Squad, Ray Quinn.
X Factor girl band Hope brought the music to a close after swapping top of the bill status with Donovan who had to dash off to another engagement.
