Three rescued from flat fire

Comments (0)Three people were rescued from a flat fire in Swindon last night.
Fire crews from the town and Stratton were called to Gresham Close, Walcot shortly after 8.15pm.
They rang for back up when they realised several people were trapped inside the first floor flat.
A further casualty had made his own way out of the building and was receiving first aid.
Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the other three occupants and they were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but involved an electrically powered scooter which was badly damaged.
