Family's tribute to Barry Cooper

The family of fatal stab victim Barry Cooper have paid tribute to him.

Karl Anthony Quincey, 32, of Devizes, has today been charged with his murder. He is due to appear in court tomorrow.

The Coopers, of Eastleigh Road, Devizes, said this afternoon: "Our family have been devastated by the loss of our eldest Son, Barry.

"The rest of our children always looked up to him and it is impossible for us to express exactly how we feel at this difficult time. He was born and bred in Devizes and is well known in the town.

"I would like to thank everyone for their messages of sympathy but in particular the family cannot thank the paramedics and the air ambulance crew enough in trying to save our sons life, and our family liaison officer, Chris Conway has been so supportive and he deserves our grateful thanks.

"We loved Barry dearly and will miss him desperately, but I must ask everyone in the town to keep calm following his death and to help the police with their enquiries in whatever way they can."
