Two held after Devizes stabbing

Two men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Devizes yesterday evening.

A man was airlifted to Great Western Hospital by the Wiltshire Air Ambulance just after 5.30pm.

The man, believed to be Barry Cooper, was stabbed at a block of flats in Victoria Road at 4.46pm.

The men are being held in separate custody units in the county.

Police cordoned off part of Victoria Road fer several hours after the incident while Scene Of Crime officers examined the flats.

08:30, 28 June 2008, Police presence overnight and sre still at the scene and the area is still cordoned off. Believe that CSI teams are to resume their investigations later today.

Another stabbing, 2 now in Devizes in the last year. No matter what the reputation of the victim no one deserves such treatment. Itjust seems nowadays that the use of a knife is such an easy option for those with little or no morals.

when you live the life these people lead this will happen where theres drugs theres misery,they chose that life and have to face the consequences,ive been broke into twice so ime not very sympathic to these people as long as they keep the violence among there selves who cares

all those now blaming someone who can't stick up for themselves should backk off barry was a good guy and does not deserve this yea he made mistakes but so do we all. Leave the poor man alone and think how your comments will affect his friends and family while he fighting for his life. Get a life

I KNOW HE made MISTAKES but he might die hello thinnk about how his family and friends feel that all i saying i know he wasn't perfect but i also know he was trying to go straight but how do you expect him to if people always slag him off and give him hard time now he critically ill you still on his case. I hope he survives he was good to me

Barry is no longer with us! yes he did have his faults but havnt we all. There r alot worse people in this town! so I suggest anybody else got anything bad 2 say keep it 2 urself as his poor family have now got 2 deal with it! u havnt!his grandmother, mum, child and the rest of his family have to try and grieve so back off!

Yes, and while you're about it, Hitler was really a nice guy deep down, so I suppose you tell us not to say nasty things about him, either.
