Soul Sunday at Bowood House promises to be a non-top picnic party of popular hits from the last four decades recreating the magic of the Motown era in a slick high energy show.

Gates open at 5.30pm, giving time for the party atmosphere to build until the evening kicks off at 6.30pm and you know it's going to be a 'boogie night' when 70s funk band Heatwave, take to the stage, followed closely by Leee John from 80's hit band Imagination.

The party continues with hit group Rose Royce featuring Gwen Dickey - who can resist dancing along to disco hits such as "Car Wash"?

After the interval The Motown Show features the many memorable dance hits of the Four Tops and The Temptations - Reach Out I'll Be There, Walk Away Renee, The Same Old Song, Going Loco in Acapulco, My Girl, Papa Was A Rollin Stone, and Get Ready, to name but a few, plus hits from other famous Motown artists such as Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

The party gets smoochy when Alexander O'Neal performs his ballad set and then revs up to high octane party again, as Ultimate Earth Wind & Fire bring the evening to a climax.

So dont miss this opportunity to experience the dance fever generated by this electrifying collection of the masters of Motown, performing their top of the pops on Sunday 17th August at Bowood House.
