Marie Curie Cancer Care is challenging ladies in the community to dare themselves to take part in a driving challenge they'll never forget.

The charity is back for yet another successful Ladies Driving Challenge this summer. The event is taking place on Saturday September 6 and the venue is RAF Colerne, near Chippenham.

The Ladies Driving Challenge gives a unique opportunity to ladies only, to experience the thrill of driving a wide range of vehicles that for many would never otherwise be available. Vehicles up for grabs are likely to include Fire Engines, 40ft Articulated Lorries, Police Cars, 4 x 4, Double Decker Buses and JCBs to name just a few.

Community Fundraising Manager, Clair Cusack said "It's a great day out for everyone involved, and this year it's even more special as it's the charities 60th Diamond Anniversary."

It will cost participants £10 to register and all ladies are asked to raise sponsor-money of £100 towards Marie Curie nursing services.

As well as welcoming all female drivers on board, Marie Curie Cancer Care are also wanting to hear from local companies to get in contact to supply vehicles, and individuals and groups to get involved in the running of the day.

To find out about taking part, call Clair or Helen on 0117 924 7275 or email clair.cusack@mariecurie.org.uk
