It was the first scheme of its kind to be set up in the UK and its success has prompted the introduction of further Bobby projects around the country.

The Trust currently employs three full time operators who work all across Swindon and Wiltshire to provide a free home security service for vulnerable members of the community.

Distraction burglary and domestic violence can have devastating impacts on people's lives, but the Bobby operators are trained to comfort distressed victims, listen to their fears and take proactive action to secure the home and reassure clients they are safe.
