A Swindon woman's handbag was stolen with such force she was left with bruised fingers.
The 35-year-old Swindon woman had just finished work and parked her car in North Street.
As she walked home along Union Street just before midnight yesterday she was approached by a man wearing a fluorescent jacket who stole her handbag by force.
The attacker used such force on the woman her fingers were bruised.
Police are appealing for witnesses who heard the woman shouting at her attacker or who saw the man cycle away down North Street.
