STUDENTS at King's Lodge Community School in Chippenham learnt how stay healthy this week.

The Pewsham primary school held a Keeping Healthy Week to teach students about all aspects of keeping fit.

On Monday pupils planted trees to create a relaxation area in the school grounds.

They were taught on Tuesday how to make a healthy meal by Sodexho Catering, and got to try out their culinary skills by making a healthy pizza.

Deputy headteacher Dan Wrixon said: "The children are very enthusiastic about everything and this helps educate children on the three aspects of keeping healthy.

"Tomorrow we will have Dancers of Chippenham visiting to teach some of the children ballroom and latin dance. They are quite excited."

As well as entertaining events children learnt about the importance of drinking plenty of water from school nurse Lucy Jillings.
