SWINDON: Christopher Howard was detained at Swindon Magistrates’ Court for a day in lieu of a £133 fine imposed for a charge of using threatening behaviour.
Howard, 39, of Raleigh Avenue, admitted the allegation, along with failing to surrender to custody at the court.
He was also instructed to pay £30 towards victim services and £85 prosecution costs.

WESTLEA: Magistrates handed Danial Viziru a 12-month conditional discharge after he pleaded guilty to stealing more than £333 of goods from Asda Walmart on January 30.
Viziru, 22, of Watercrook Mews, also admitted failing to surrender to the court.
He was told he must pay £105 in victim surcharge and court costs.

SWINDON: A man who carried out an assault on a woman was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
Shaun Rusher, 42, of Highfield Park, Arborfield Cross, Reading, pleaded guilty to the charge and was told to pay £20 towards victim services as well as £85 prosecution costs.

SWINDON: Jago Turner was fined £120 when he admitted riding a Trigger SM 50 moped on Westcott Place with a fake registration plate, no MOT, no insurance and without due care and attention.
Turner, 27, of Newland Close, was told to pay another £85 prosecution costs and £30 towards victim services by the Swindon bench.

SWINDON: Martin Morgan, also known as Mr Moggy,  used threatening behaviour likely to cause distress Swindon magistrates heard.
He pleaded guilty to the offence along with stealing a bottle of vodka valued at £16.25 from Iceland.
Morgan, 33, of no fixed address, was fined £100, with £30 on top towards victim services and £16.25 compensation. 

SWINDON: Using threatening behaviour in Calne and then failing to turn up to court cost Ewan Parrott, 19, of Station Road, Swindon a total of £255.
Parrott, pleaded guilty to both allegations and was fined a total of £140, with £85 court costs and £30 towards victim services.

SWINDON: Shoplifter Michelle Foss was made the subject of a 12-month community order after she admitted three charges of theft.
Foss, 38, of Akers Way, stole £101 of alcohol and tin foil from Tesco on September 22,  took a toaster and kettle from  Wilko on October 19 then stole boxes of booze valued at £385 from Iceland in Cricklade Road on October 27.
She also failed to surrender to custody at the magistrates’ court on October 17.
She was instructed to pay £50 compensation.

SWINDON: Van driver Patrick Egan of Butterworth Street was banned from driving for three months after he admitted being drunk in charge of a vehicle on the M4.
The magistrates heard Egan, 31, was between junction 16 and 17 and a breath test showed a level of 41mcg of alcohol in his system. He also admitted a charge of driving the panel van carelessly.
The bench fined him a total of £216 with a victim surcharge of £30 and prosecution costs of £85.

PARK NORTH: Magistrates imposed a restraining order on Richard Cox after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman and damaging her mobile phone.
Cox, 46, of Old School Court, had originally denied the allegations. He was fined £332, ordered to pay £150 compensation and instructed to contribute £250 towards prosecution costs.

SWINDON: James Cosgrove, 34, of Phoenix Gardens, was given a nine-month conditional discharge after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman on September 26.
He was also told to pay £105 in victim surcharge and court costs.

SWINDON: A man who texted a threat to a woman was fined a total of £150. 
Kieran Danter, 24, of Atlee Crescent, pleaded guilty when he appeared in the dock at Swindon Magistrates’ Court to possessing a quantity of cocaine and sending the text on April 6 with the purpose of causing distress to the woman.
He was told to pay £70 towards prosecution costs and to help fund victim services.
