Solicitor Brian Rangeley has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children on his computer.

The 49-year-old admitted creating the vile images over a three month period in 2002, when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

He also accepted possessing indecent images of children during the seven years up to September last year.

Rangeley, of Tydeman Street, Gorse Hill, pleaded guilty to seven counts of making indecent images of children and one of possession.

The first making count relates to February 3, 2002, two on April 30, 2002 and the other four between February 2 and May 8.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case so the probation service can compile a pre-sentence report on the defendant.

Rangeley was released on bail on condition he co-operates with the preparation of the report and will return to face sentence on September 28.

hmmm this fishy article has 'local rag' written all over it. Since when is it considered journalism when one interjects opinions such as 'vile' when the 'reporter' clearly has not seen the evidence? And since when did 2002-2007 equal 7 years? These cases should be left to the courts and kept out of the hands of the paparazzi.
