Crews put out the fires using hose reel jets
FIREFIGHTERS in Chippenham dealt with two small fires in the open yesterday evening (Sat, Aug 4).
The first was at 6.28pm when a crew from Chippenham was mobilised to a small fire in Hill Rise Chippenham.
The attending crew arrived on scene within four minutes of receiving the call to the incident and put out the fire using a hose reel jet.
The second incident came less than 90 minutes later at 7.56pm when crews from Chippenham and Melksham were mobilised to a grass fire in Bowden Hill at Lacock.
The two crews arrived quickly on scene and put out the fire using a hose reel jet and beaters.
