A POLICE appeal to find out more about a group of youths assaulting a teenager and stealing his trainers, has been renewed.

A 16-year-old boy was walking along West Street, Close to Wingfield Road, Trowbridge, when he was approached by a group of youths who demanded he hand over his black Nike Air Max trainers.

They knocked him to the ground and he sustained minor injuries to his head and back.

He did not require medical treatment.

After forcing him to hand over the trainers, the group, who are described as three white boys and one mixed-race boy, all aged between 15 and 18, then ran off towards the park opposite Trowbridge railway station.

One of them, who is described as having ginger hair, was riding a red and black bike.

Officers have been conducting CCTV enquiries and we have released images of three youths we would like to speak to. This took place at around 7.30pm on May 31.

Anyone who recognises them, should get in touch via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
