POLICE patrols have been increased in Coopers Meadow in a bid to reduce anti social behaviour in the area.
A Marlborough officer posted this picture on social media, after spending over an hour clearing up beer bottles, can, sweets and crisps wrapper, and urged people to clear up after themselves in park lands around the town.
The play park in Coopers Meadow is set to have a £50,000 transformation, with work taking place in October.
Earlier in the week Police Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson came under fire from town councillors about the lack of police officers on foot patrols around Marlborough. Town mayor Lisa Farrell warned the crime commissioner that fewer police on streets was leaving the town vulnerable to increased anti social behaviour and drug related activity.
