COLERNE Primary School paid tribute to the village’s soldiers as part of Armed Forces Day at the weekend with a fete.
On Saturday the school held a fete to honour pupils’ friends and family serving with the 21st Signal Regiment (Air Support) at Azimguhr Barracks.
It was another record breaking year as hundreds turned out to show their thanks and respect, watching Servicemen, ex-servicemen and representatives from the Colerne branch of the Royal British Legion march through the village from the Market Place.
They were joined by rainbows, beavers, brownies, cubs scouts, guides, and cadets.
Chair of Colerne's fundraising body FRESCO, Paula Reed, said: "The day was brilliant and we had another record breaking year.
"The army brought military vehicles, an old military fire engine, tanks and a big assault course and we had traditional village stalls.
"Because our school has a lot of forces children in it, it is our way of using the school and the community to thank our armed forces for everything they do."
