WOMEN from the worlds of science, technology, engineering and mathematics shared their stories during the STEM Careers Showcase at The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst visited by girls from Dauntsey’s School.

Fourth Form girls from the Devizes school joined 500 other female pupils aged from 11-15 to hear from women from the STEM industry and see presentations from STEM higher Educations Providers about careers that have been difficult for women to enter in the past.

Lucy, one of the 16 pupils from Dauntsey’s who attended the event said:

“The Showcase was a fantastic opportunity to see STEM in action in industry and the Armed Forces and it really opened my eyes to the opportunities open to me when I leave School.

“It was particularly good to hear from women who have built a successful career in STEM, listening to them was really inspiring.”

The event was organised by the Army with industry leaders and took place on May 24.
