NURSERY children have been brightening up the mornings of residents during weekly visits to their care home.
The pre schoolers have been baking, dancing and crafting with their friends from a different generation at Merlin Court in Marlborough while getting stuck into care home life.
The intergenerational project has been carried out across the country and documentaries have revealed the benefits that older and younger people can give to each other.
A spokesman from Avenue Nursery said. ‘”Our children love their visits to Merlin court they spend all week asking when we are going, they have truly benefitted through spending time with the residents. Seeing friendships across the generations develop is a wonderful thing.
"Merlin Court and the residents have made both the children and staff very welcome we would like to thank them for this opportunity.”
The Avenue Day Nursery, Silverless Street visit residents most Thursday mornings as part of their week.
