WACKY races are set to descend on Great Cheverell in the summer as the Soap Box Derby returns to the village.
Keen teams are needed to tackle the route in front of up to 2,000 keen eyed spectators on home built carts.
Teams must build their own cart to hold two or three people including a driver and speed their way around a circuit laid out in the village.
Organiser Peter Andrew used to take part in the race himself and is now planning the 2018 derby in aid of Dorothy House.
He said: “The hardest thing is to attract participants, getting spectators to come and see people throw themselves around the track and get soaked is easy. Lots of people bring their water guns to spray at people as they go around too and it is a fantastic event.”
There are four races for children, teens, adults and a Formula One team race to pit drivers against the 1km route on August 26.
