CATCH a glimpse of Wiltshire’s funniest looking bird this summer at the home of the royal society for the protection of birds at Winterbourne Downs.
On June 29 from 5-6.30pm, the RSPB are hosting a stone curlews spotting session at their nature reserve.
Nicola Quinn, RSPB Wiltshire Warden, said: “We will be looking for the rare and enigmatic stone curlew along the nature trail of our beautiful downland reserve, Winterbourne Downs. Come and see this cryptically camouflaged bird that blends in so well with its stony surroundings. Also see corn buntings, skylarks, butterflies and a host of wildlflowers.”
