THE top three in Division One all won at the weekend with Potterne 2nd continuing to lead the way after a seven-wicket win over Malmesbury.

Milan Perera took 4-51 as Malmesbury were restricted to 151-8 in their 45 overs before half-centuries from Jack Bramwell (52) and Josh Hodder (58 not out) guided the villagers home in the 26th over.

Hinton Charterhouse stayed in second place as Dave Catlow (106) and Henry Cheal (112 not out) dominated their 279-6 against Avebury.

Greg Dix hit 41 in the reply, but two wickets each for Michael Abington, Huw Lee, John Newport and Cheal helped halt their innings at 190 all out.

In third spot are Swindon 2nd, who clinched a 49-run success over Winsley, who slipped a place to fifth.

Tom Codling's 53 saw Swindon reach 219 all out as Benjamin Strange to 3-53 for the villagers before Scott McNeill (4-21) and Codling (3-37) helped end the reply at 170.

Richard Bosson's unbeaten century and 61 from Josh Quinn saw Great Bedwyn reach 269-4 against Box, who were never in the hunt as they were dismissed for 136, Jack Smith taking 5-35.

Nationwide House saw Luke Bradley-Leach hit 63 and Jon Clarke 74 of their 220-7 against Bear Flat, Steve Lewis taking 4-40 to restrict Bear to 151-9 in reply.

Division Two

SWINDON United Churches crashed to a 136-run defeat at home to Biddestone 2nd, succumbing to a paltry 31 all out in reply to the visitors 167.

Churches had done well to dismiss Biddestone for 167 in 43.1 overs, with three wickets each for Chris Spackman (3-21) and Daniel Hunt (3-14).

But the chase proved a disaster, Alex Horn taking 5-19, Nathan Cadell 3-10 and Ben Pope 2-1 in just two overs to wrap up victory.

Swindon Nalgo lost sole possession of top spot as they lost by five wickets to Lacock.

Abrar Qureshi top-scored with 35 as Nalgo was dismissed for 140, Lewis Simmons taking 4-16 and Jamie Walker and Steve Copland taking two wickets each.

Miles Copland's unbeaten 74 saw Lacock home for the loss of five wickets.

Scores of 77 from Paresh Porobo and 50 by Jamie Baden proved inadequate for Swindon A (225-9), after Mark Quamil (101) and Rory Kelly (81) had helped Beckington to 279-6.

Pete Ross smashed 170 not out for Chippenham 2nd in their 267-4 against Beehive Southwick who, despite 46 from Gary Collins ended on 207-7 as Ryan Merryweather took 4-34.

Division Three

GOATACRE 2nd continued their serene progress with a 78-run success over Heytesbury & Sutton Veny that was their seventh in a row.

Middle-order men Chris Chapman (70 not out) and Thomas Ponting (81) starred in their 258-5 with Dan Wiseman (4-13) and Ponting (3-21) doing likewise with the ball to halt Heytesbury at 180.

Three wickets each for Jack Humphrys (3-39), Robert Humphreys (3-25) and Steve Merryweather (3-30) saw Chippenham 3rd dismiss Keevil for 193 before Jack Humphrys hit 74 in the reply, which was stopped at 182 with Simon Tyler taking 4-36.

Sam Thurlow (73), Harry Latham (47) and James Shadwell (40) starred for Potterne 3rd in their 236-5 against White Horse, before Jack Trew took 3-24 to stop the reply at 184.

Division Four

TROWBRIDGE 2nd made it eight wins from eight with their eight-wicket win over Spye Park.

Paul Fennell scored 52 for Park, but 6-19 from Ollie Weaver saw them dismissed for 131 and Kyle Oakley hit 90 not out in the successful reply.

Joe Hitchinson hit 150 for Devizes 2nd in their 292-9 against Corsham 3rd, Corey Burgess hitting 70 in response but George Dunford's 3-25 ending the innings at 203-7.

Division Five

MELKSHAM'S fine season continued with another dominant win, this time at fellow promotion hopefuls Westbury 2nd.

Put into bat, Russell Collins (66) and Daniel Carpenter (7) were among those to make hay, Joe Veacock adding 65 in a total of 265-8.

James Mawson hit an unbeaten 114 in reply but two wickets each for Chris Long and Collins saw them only reach 178-5.

Goatacre 3rd scored 151 all out against their Biddestone counterparts, Max Bentley taking 5-16, but it proved enough as Biddestone subsided to 122 all out, Luke Stoneham taking 4-22 and Barry Garland 3-41.

George Penfold's 81 helped Wanborough to 275-7 against Erlestoke, Joe Dorgan taking 3-15, and three wickets for Nat Fernandes (3-27), plus two each for Noel Braganza, Stanley Vas and Liam Stacey dismisses Erlestoke for 155 inside 29 overs.

Division Six

DAVE Nelson took 7-18 for leaders Sherston Magna, who dismissed Beckington for 61 before knocking off the runs inside 12 overs.

Buscot Park's batsmen were in fine fettle against Heytesbury & Sutton Veny 2, unbeaten knocks of 74 from Hamish Millar and 48 by Aaron Court being supplemented by Dan Batchelor (59) and Ronny Fernandes (50) in their 274-3.

Michael Heasman (3-57) picked up the bowling mantle as Heytesbury were dismissed for 133.

Knocks of 61 and 67 by Adrian Jeffrey and Stuart MacDougall respectively allowed Winsley 2nd (185-5) to get past Wilcot's 184-7.

Division Seven

CALLUM Widdows took 3-33 and there were two wickets each for Tom Evans, Neil Skinner and Andrew Crabtree as leaders Warminster 3rd dismissed Potterne 4th for 205.

Mark Tuner then hit 104 to help his side home for the loss of three wickets.

Dave Johnson hit 50 of Trowbridge 3rd's 203-9 against Christian Malford and Robert Fernandes took 3-18 to help stop the reply at 173.

Ian Tinson hit an unbeaten 109 as Great Bedwyn 2nd (236-5) overhauled Beehive Southwick 2nd 234-8.

Division Eight

CORSHAM 4th were out for 105, with two wickets each for Avebury 2nd's Aaron Batson, Carl Godwin and Ben Wilson before Ross Haines hit 62 in the reply (107-2).

Charlie Hallsworth took 5-31 as Swindon B dismissed Bathford 2nd for 139, in reply to 225-8 in which Harminder Jagdey had scored 55.

Chris Bultitude scored 92 as Box 2nd reached 196-9 against Goatacre 4th, who reached 109-5 in reply.

There was also 92 for Nathan Dunford in Chippenham 4th's 215-7 against Marshfield 3rd, Andy Elliott taking 4-35.

Elliott scored 62 of the 193-9 reply, with three wickets each for Dan Pettit and William Thompsett.

Division Nine

DEVIZES 3rd scored 186-8 against Biddestone 4th, with two wickets each for Thomas Beresford-Smith and Angus Dickens but Biddestone managed 188-2 in their winning reply, Ed Carver scoring an unbeaten 107.

Wanborough 2nd took over at the top after defeating Buscot Park 2nd by seven wickets.

Park were dismissed for 90 as David Novais took 3-13 and the target was reached for the loss of three wickets.

Ben Horn took 4-13 for Marlborough 3rd as North Bradley were all out for 153, Andrew Crabbe hitting 67 in a successful run chase of 154-7.
