CHIPPENHAM Men’s Shed is calling for the support of local businesses to help secure them a new base for members to meet on a regular basis.

The Men’s Shed is looking for a new permanent base and is hoping local businesses will be able to help them secure land or an empty property they can use.

Communication officer Trevor Eason, said: “We have big ideas and big plans, we have got a lot of support and we have had a lot of positive feedback, but we are homeless really.

“We have two ship containers that have been donated to us, one the containers are transported to Chippenham we will convert them into workshops but we need a site.”

They are looking for a low rental, or somewhere rent-free for at least a year so they can build up sufficient funds.

The Men’s Shed is a place for people of all genders and abilities who have retired to pursue practical interests, build friendships and combat loneliness.
