Eighty tonnes of hay alight in field fire
FIRE crews from Devizes and Melksham were called to fire in a field in Chirton, outside of Devizes yesterday evening (June 8).
The call was received at 5.35pm and on arrival firefighters found around 80 tonnes of baled hay well alight.
The fire was extinguished using a water carrier from Royal Wootton Bassett.
