WALLABY sightings have been recorded near Axford after an albino wallaby escaped at the weekend.
Marlborough Police have been on a wild wallaby chase around the village and warned residents not to chase the animal if seen as their strong legs and sharp claws can cause damage.
The owner is from Axford and will collect the creature straight away once found.
A Marlborough Police spokesman said: “The wallaby in question is male and approx. 1m high. He is part of a family group and will not want to be parted from his ladies for long.” If anyone spots the beast contact police on 101.
