SCHOOL leavers marked the end of their primary school days by taking on a mud filled assault course as a year six team.
Burbage primary school leavers took part in Pretty Muddy Kids race for life and raised £1000 for Cancer research UK.
Emma Butler, parent of one of the team members and Chair of Governors at Burbage Primary School said: “We’re really lucky to have such fantastic, inspirational children. They undoubtedly enjoyed getting muddy on Saturday morning, and they showed great team spirit and support for each other throughout the race too. They are all moving on to secondary school in September, but they will take their great friendship with them.”
The children got huge cheers from spectators as they completed the challenge on Saturday morning, (May 19) crossing the finishing line together as a team far muddier than when they started and were awarded finishers medals at the event held in Lydiard Park in Swindon.
All the children will move on to secondary school at the end of the summer.
