BRASS band musicians have been toasting their success after qualifying for a prestigious competition that pits the country’s best players against each other.
In previous years Aldbourne Band has narrowly missed out on qualifying for The British Open Championship, but now they have secured their spot amongst top bands to play in Symphony Hall, Birmingham on September 8.
The group of players, which include some third generation players, came second in the Grand Shield held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
The band will perform on June 10 for the village’s first Pond Concert, at 6.30pm.
