ELDERLY people had a visit they will never forget when two alpacas turned up in a communal sitting room and bedrooms.
The friendly alpacas visited Avon Court care home in Chippenham to the particular delight of resident Joyce Dunbabin.
She had never come face to face with an alpaca before and was delighted to make their acquaintance.
Avon Court Home Manager Linda Watts said: “It was a great day for everyone.The residents were thrilled to meet the alpacas, especially those that remain in their bedrooms. We are looking forward to their next visit."
The home, whihc is run by HC-One is also celebrating after receiving a score of 9.3 out of ten on the comparison website carehome.couk which puts it close to the top of the care home sector list.
