PUPILS at a school near Devizes got a taste of royal wedding fever when they held their own early celebration before Harry and Meghan's big day.

The youngsters at Rowdeford School came dressed in red, white and blue and had decorated bunting to add to the festive feel.

The children also made their own posters to promote the event.

A school spokesman said: "The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the staff and students at Rowdeford School held an early celebration for the Royal Wedding.

Everyone came to school dressed in red, white and blue. A lunch was outside in the sunshine and had a party atmosphere with music playing.

"We decided to have an American/English theme for the meal with burger and chips which went down well. Throughout the week lessons were linked to the wedding with dress designs and singing."
