SHOPPERS missing a Post Office service are grouping together to support a businesswoman return the service to her village.

Colerne newsagents owner Emma Hucklebridge has applied to bring the service into the village with a counter inside the shop.

Cllr Brian Mathew has also launched a petition backing the campaign and said: “Since the closure of the old Post Office, this is a service that is very much needed by Colerne’s residents, especially those who need to draw their pensions, draw cash and those who wish to post packages and letters.

“I am sure that many will agree that keeping a post Office within Colerne is very important and that Colerne News would be an ideal place for it to be situated.”

The petition has already gained 661 signatures from people keen to get the community post office back.
