LIFE saving firefighting work done is being recognised in Marlborough during Firefighters Memorial Day. Brian Presley was a retained fireman in the town for 23 years and will join personnel and the public at the station in The Parade on May 4 for a minutes silence at midday.
His legacy has been carried on by sons Wayne and Aaron who are both in the service. Mr Presley, 66, of Lansdowne Place, said: “I am incredibly proud of them. Marlborough’s team is absolutely essential, without them you’d be waiting for an engine from Swindon or Salisbury. It is important to remember those who have been lost and also those who are carrying on their duty.”
All members of the public have been invited along to take part in the minute's silence on May 4.
