A MAN who was arrested by the National Crime Agency after a raid on a home in Devizes has been sentenced to five years in jail.

Luke Paradise, 34, of Albert Terrace, Devizes, pleaded guilty at Winchester Crown Court to being concerned in supplying cocaine, supplying cannabis and possessing cannabis with intent.

Paradise was arrested in Devizes officers from the National Crime Agency, with support from Wiltshire Police, as part of an ongoing investigation.

At the time a spokesman for the agency said: "He was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply in relation to the seizure of a kilo of a class A drug and 4kg of cannabis.

“Organised criminals involved in drug distribution are also often linked to violence, exploitation and gang culture.

“They rely heavily on couriers and street level dealers, each of whom play a key part in longer, damaging chain.

“This seizure has deprived a criminal organisation of significant operating funds and disrupted criminal activity in Wiltshire."
