ONE of Hardenhuish School's old minibuses has been replaced thanks to the generosity of four organisations.
Chippenham Borough Lands Charity, Fish Bros Swindon, Hardenhuish Educational Trust and the Friends of Hardenhuish donated money for the purchase of a new lightweight minibus, which will now allow any adult with a standard driving licence to drive it.
The bus joins the school's three-strong fleet and will help transport pupils and teachers to extra-curricular events, field trips and sporting fixtures during the academic year.
Headteacher Lisa Percy, who accepted a cheque for £4,730 from the Chippenham Borough Lands Charity on March 20, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the new minibus which will enable many more opportunities for our young people and are very grateful for the support of our sponsors, Chippenham Borough Lands Charity, Fish Bros Swindon, Hardenhuish Educational Trust and the Friends of Hardenhuish.”
