NEARLY perfect care has been celebrated at a care home in Marlborough after residents rated their setting among the top in the UK.
Coombe End Court, on London Road, received compliments from both residents and their to received a score of 940/1000 in a nationwide questionnaire that tracks the level of care and satisfaction of older people.
Residents were asked to rate staff, care, home comforts and quality of life at the home.
The Orders of St John Care Trust’s chief executive, Dan Hayes, said: “We are pleased with these results, especially those which have been so far above the average, and it’s wonderful to know our residents, and their family and friends, value the care they receive in our homes.
"These results indicate we are doing something right, and we will continue to strive to provide excellent care for our residents.
"These results also show us where we have an opportunity to support all of our homes to achieve the very high standards achieved by some. I am so proud of our colleagues, and commend them on this result.”
