HUNGRY diners raised £1,600 for charity at the same time as flexing their taste buds at Rick Stein’s in Marlborough.

The cash will go straight to Wiltshire Air Ambulance to support its emergency work across the county.

Diners donated £2.50 from every charity lunch sold through January.

Stephane Malbranche, general manager at Rick Stein, Marlborough said: “We’re really pleased to have supported such a fantastic charity like the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. The charity attends on average 3 lifesaving missions a day so thank you to everyone for attending our charity lunches and supporting such a well deserving charity.”

Hollie Perryman from Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said: “We are truly grateful to Rick Stein, Marlborough for donating £1600.00 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance following their Charity Lunches throughout January. It was lovely to visit the restaurant and meet some of the staff. The money they have raised will go towards keeping our helicopter and crew flying and saving lives.”
