TRAVELODGE has announced that it will open its third hotel in Chippenham, creating 25 new jobs.

The budget hotel chain, which already has hotels on either side of Junction 17 of the M4, is set to open the new 69-room hotel, on Foundry Lane as part of a new £240m expansion investment across the UK.

Peter Gowers, Travelodge's chief executive said: " The announcement demonstrates Travelodge's continued investment in the UK.

"Despite the uncertainty caused by Brexit and economic pressures, the UK budget hotel market remains attractive.

"We are delighted to be opening 20 hotels this year which includes our third Travelodge in Chippenham.

"Much of our recent success has been driven by our investment in quality and growing appeal to business customers."
