BUSY office workers have downed their work for the afternoon to spend quality time with some four legged friends for charity.
Three people supported by Guide Dogs UK brought in their furry companion to give staff at consultancy firm Innecto Reward Consulting some pet therapy.
The guide dog owners, who are all partially sighted, explained how the animals had given them back their confidence and independence.
Ella Rees, marketing executive with the company based in Stonebridge Close, Marlborough, arranged the event and said: “We have had a really busy period over Christmas so it was nice to put down work for a couple of hours and meet the dogs and their owners, and learn a bit about the history of the charity.
“The bond with their owners is incredible, they didn’t take their eyes off them the whole time.
“We are quite a dog friendly office but I think even people who aren’t especially animal lovers would benefit from meeting these animals. The owners talked about the fact that before they had their guide dog they wouldn’t want to leave the house. Now, they have got all their confidence back and it has allowed them to live a normal life.”
Staff were so impressed by the work being done they donated £120 to the charity.
