THE finishing touches are being made to a new £700,000 dance studio at Sheldon School.
The purpose-built studio, which is being carried out by Riggs Construction, replaces an old mobile classroom and will feature a Harlequin sprung dance floor, changing rooms and a lecture theatre.
Dance teacher Claire Tryner said: "It has been very exciting to watch our new studio come together.
"Dance students at Sheldon are very passionate and dedicated and neither they nor I can wait to dance in our new space."
Headteacher, Neil Spurdell added: “It has been fantastic to see the new building coming together and now that we are nearly there, it’s creating quite a stir.
"Performing Arts has a really strong profile at the school and this will be amazing space for our dance students.”
