AN active cub pack in Devizes is looking for an extra leader to help with the ever growing numbers of youngsters that attend on Monday evenings at Trinity School.

The children take part in a number of outings as well as their usual pack sessions and leader Scott Coleman is in need of more help with the 33 cubs.

He is worried that the assistant leader may no longer be able to attend on Mondays. He said: "There is no-way I would be able to run the Pack by myself and so the importance for us to get at least another one leader is great."

Recent activities have included a visit to the BUPA care home in Market Lavington to sing songs and it led to Mr Coleman sharing memories with Mary Oliver who he knew from his days as a cub when she was a leader. The children also showed the older people their badges.

He said: "As I went round and spoke with some of the other residents, I noticed Mary had some of my Cubs sat around, where she got them to renew their Cub Promise with her."

Cub Max Otway was also presented with his Chief Scouts silver award.
