THE Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team has been called to deal with what is believed to be an unexploded bomb in Calne.
The unexploded World War Two device was discovered by construction workers earlier today (Friday, November 24) at the Beversbrook Sports Facility.
Police officers and the Disposal Team are at the scene.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "We are currently attending the Beaversbrook Sports Ground following the discovery of what is believed to be an ordnance device which was discovered by construction workers earlier today."
The small device which measures 5 x 3 inches, is 1,000 metres away from houses and 500 metres from the sport centre.
The gate into the sports centre and the field used by dog walkers has been closed.
FC Wiltshire training and FC under 14 training has been cancelled.
