HAVING read the two letters last week from Marion Hannaford Dobson and Margaret Rose, I was amazed that the council was given £23,746 three years ago, and it was to update the play area in Coopers Meadow, yet nothing has been done.
Also I read that Coopers Meadow is considered to be a conservation area, hence the sheep and the bee hives.
Since when did it become a conservation area? ARK already has a conservation area in Stonebridge Meadow. I understand it is an area that had been given to the town as a recreational area for all the residents to use.
So the big concern at the moment is when will work start in the meadow?
If this money is not used by 2019/20, the council could lose it altogether.
So could the council give us a date, when the sheep and bee hives will be banned, a modern play area will be built and the rest of the meadow will be beautifully landscaped for all the residents of Marlborough to use?
