A commemorative plaque has been awarded to Mildenhall village upon winning Wiltshire’s Best Kept village 2017 award.
The plaque was presented to Parish Councillor Derek Price by the chair of Wiltshire County Council, Councillor Alison Bucknall at a ceremony held at the village hall in Mildenhall on October 1.
The awarding judges commented: “Overall, we felt that the village had pulled together to present its best appearance, and fully deserves first place. Congratulations!”
The standard and shield now sits proudly on a post outside the Village Hall to commemorate winning the medium category in the annual competition.
