RICK Stein's Marlborough restaurant celebrated a year of business this month by sponsoring the town's youth football club, and paying for a new football strip.
Marlborough Youth FC under 14s were kitted out with the latest strips by the fine dining restaurant as it was announced that the restaurant will be a sponsor for the next two seasons.
Stephane Malbranche, general manager of Rick Stein's in Marlborough and pictured with Keith Marshall, U14 Co-manager and coach, said: "We're really pleased to be able to support a community team and wish the boys the best of luck for the season ahead."
Mr Marshall said: "The U14 management team are hugely grateful for this sponsorship, which means the boys have a stylish, functional and eye catching kit for at least the next two seasons. The lads absolutely love it!
"If you want to play, help with coaching or volunteer to be a helper with admin behind the scenes at MYFC, there are vacancies available and we would be very pleased to welcome you. Contact Chair@myfc.me.uk."
The youth club has also celebrated its 300th member this month, as Oscar Manning joined the under six's and was awarded a certificate for being the landmark member.
He will now join the club's other teams and members on the field as they play in another busy season of matches.
